It was great to arrive to my Seamm-Jasani class yesterday and find my classmates and teacher waiting for me to get there. I felt embarrassed that I was late, yet nobody made me feel bad. The trip from NH took me 1.5 hours to get home, tear off clothing and put on some shorts to drive to Brookline in a record 15 minutes. I had reason enough to be agitated yet at School everything was warm, welcoming and somehow I was able to focus better knowing the support of class was there. Thanks - that is a true accomplishment! It teaches me patience, and patience I need to have with myself and those around me, to listen to them and wait for them to understand the needs I have or to see what I am seeing.
We rush and rush sometimes, yet many times there is no real schedule constraint holding us to the fire - we just rush mindlessly and pay no heed to the scenery, the feelings or the needs of those around us. I must take it upon myself to SLOW DOWN, to listen, to feel, to breath and to love.
